Family trip to Tallinn with children. Ideas on where to go with your child

Tallinn Tallinn is an excellent destination for tourists with children as they will be able to enjoy interesting entertainment, from traditional museum excursions to observation of unique historical places and amazing amusement complexes. The historic part of the city is a gathering place for all sweet tooths as it’s the location of the Marzipan Gallery. The venue is a fabulous combination of a classical confectionery café and a wonderful museum. As it’s not hard to guess, skillfully made marzipan figurines are the main exhibits of the “museum”. Visitors of the gallery will have an opportunity to see how masters work and create truly unbelievable items from marzipan, including interesting pictures and even photographs. It’s possible not only to look at marzipan masterpieces but also buy the ones you like. Children will be super excited to participate in master classes that often take place in the gallery.

Rocca Al Mare or Estonian Open Air Museum is incredibly popular with families. It’s nothing but an authentic Estonian village with charming wooden houses. This is the place where visitors can walk in the miniature village, look at historic houses, and enter old school and church. All buildings have the original atmosphere preserved, so visitors will be able to see how people lived centuries ago. Every day, special master classes take place in the village. During these exciting events, guests can learn the basics of popular national crafts. Children are always welcome in Kuie school where they can also attend interesting master classes and thematic events.
Travelers with older children are recommended to visit one of magnificent observation decks. The deck open in Tallinn TV Tower remains the highest and the most popular deck in the city. It’s possible to reach the top by a fast moving elevator. The observation deck is open at the height of 160 meters. As it has a roof, the deck works all year round. Fans of thrilling experiences will be particularly excited as a part of the floor is transparent. Surprisingly, adults usually do not dare to step on the glass floor while kids are super excited.
