More Hotels Offer New Exclusive Experiences for Their Guests

Canopy, the upper-upscale hotel brand by Hilton, has just announced a new program that features a partnership with local communities and offers new authentic experiences for hotel guests.

Each Canopy hotel tries to be unique and tailored to the neighborhood it is open in. Upon arrival, guests receive a welcome gift – locally made artisan chocolate. The custom interior design reflects the location of each hotel. Moreover, bars and restaurants in Canopy hotels offer local wine, craft beer, and a range of spirits. However, the hotelier decided to take a step further and offer new experiences together with a special group of people, Team Members. These are local enthusiasts who are ready to share their passion with travelers.

Guests are welcome to use complimentary Canopy bikes to explore the neighborhood. Besides that, Team Members provide interesting excursions and curated guides. The hotel explains that they develop new interesting activities for modern travelers who not only want to see new places but would like to be a part of these places.

InterContinental, another large hotel group, has a similar service for its Hotel Indigo brand – Clues to the Neighborhood. These are guided tours that were carefully developed together with historians, artists, and other creative people who live in certain places. This is an excellent opportunity for something beyond the typical tourist paths. For example, the group’s hotel in Berlin offers a series of interesting “tasks” for guests. It took several months for Hotel Indigo to prepare this program. Guests get the “clues” that lead them to real hidden gems of Berlin. One of these clues leads to the Schöneberg district where guests can climb to the top of the only open-air gasometer in the world.

The company’s hotel in Stratford-upon-Avon offers guests to visit the Welcombe Hills, an award-winning vineyard, or explore the decadent and calm part of the city. InterContinental offers many interesting secrets and discoveries that tourists will not find in guide books. These experiences will help to learn the city in a multi-dimensional way.
