Dubai Wants to Attract Foodies to Expo 2020

News Expo 2020 Dubai will be a marvelous event that will definitely attract many guests to the emirate. However, Dubai wants as many people as possible to visit The World’s Greatest Show that starts on October 20, 2020, and will end on April 10, 2021. This time, the main theme of the event is ‘Connecting Minds, Creating Future’.

These months are going to be hot for hotels in Dubai as millions of visitors are going to attend the event. That being said, Dubai wants to attract one more category of travelers to the city – foodies. Many UAE-based restaurants, cafes, and food trucks will offer their best dishes at the event. Many local restaurants will prepare special menus as this is an excellent chance to gain overseas recognition and enter the international food scene.

Indeed, local cuisine has much to offer to foodies. The UAE is home to more than 200 different nationalities. Moreover, Dubai welcomed 16 million guests in 2018, and so the emirate’s dining establishments need to offer many different cuisines of the world to serve such a great number of visitors. These factors shape the unique cuisine of the emirate that has influences from different continents and countries of the world.

Numerous small, often homegrown and family-run eateries can satisfy even experienced foodies. The World’s Greatest Show will feature many Dubai-based café and restaurant brands that are very popular in the emirate. These are Arabian Tea House, Al Reef Bakery and Al Khabbaz (Lebanese stalwarts), Dampa Seafood Grill (Filipino cuisine), Al Farwania (Indian cuisine), Firas Sweets (famous Middle Eastern desserts), and many more. Of course, there will be new brands as well. For example, Saj 2 Go offers baked bread, the recipe of which was developed centuries ago. Majlis Café specializes in food with camel milk, Doh serves coffee and doughnuts, and The Irish Village is a specialist in authentic Irish food and entertainment.

Dubai Expo 2020 will be a great foodie destination as cuisine is one of the best ways to explore other cultures and traditions. With more than 200 food and beverage outlets at the show, visitors will definitely have many options to choose from. As many as 192 countries will participate in Expo 2020, and the expected number of visits is 25 million. If you want to attend the event, it is high time to plan your trip and book a hotel in Dubai beforehand.
