Bay Hotel Rebrands as the First Travelodge Hotel in Singapore

News Travelodge Hotels Asia has announced the launch of the first hotel in Singapore. The hotelier is planning to rebrand Bay Hotel to Travelodge Harbourfront Singapore. Of course, in order to make the property fit high standards of the hotelier, Travelodge will completely refurbish the building. Once the extensive and thorough works are complete, the 319-room hotel will share all signature features and the identity of the brand.

The hotel company plans to work a lot to give a power start to its first hotel in Singapore. Travelodge will remake guest rooms and main public areas, will offer a completely new lobby area and an all-day dining restaurant. As there is much work to do, the refurbishment is expected to last half a year.

The Travelodge Hotel Harbourfront is an ideal choice for leisure guests who want to stay close to major landmarks of the city-state. The gorgeous hotel is situated literally at the entrance to Sentosa, a popular tourist attraction. The largest shopping mall in Singapore, VivoCity, is situated opposite the hotel. Business travelers won’t be disappointed as well – only a short drive separates the hotel from the central business district, headquarters of large companies, and popular business hubs like the Mapletree Business City.

Travelodge has been paying particular attention to its Asian portfolio recently. Ever since the purchase of the brand in 2015, Travelodge has been trying to add as many hotels in the region as possible. In 2017, the company launched a hotel in Hong Kong, followed by new hotels in Batam, Bangkok, Pattaya, Kuala Lumpur, Seoul, Ipoh, and Penang. The Group has a fantastic speed of new hotel opening – roughly one new hotel every six months. The company tries to maintain this fantastic pace in order to stick to its ambitious strategy of getting 50 hotels in Asia by 2025.

The first Singapore hotel by Travelodge will become the 11th hotel in Asia in the portfolio of the hotel company. Just like all Travelodge hotels, the Singapore hotel enjoys a prime location close to major tourist attractions. Proximity to public transport, location, and high quality at a moderate price make this hotel a wonderful choice for modern tourists who seek the best value for their money and are not ready to compromise on quality.
