Steigenberger, a German luxury hotel company, is famous for its quality hotels and fine dining. The latter has been proven by Michelin stars of restaurants in the hotels by this company. On February 27, 2019, the new Guide Michelin was published, and it turned out that three Steigenberger Hotels & Resorts restaurants got one Michelin star.
Here are the proud recipients of the prestigious mark: the Olivo restaurant at Steigenberger Graf Zeppelin hotel in Stuttgart, the Français restaurant at the Frankfurter Hof hotel in Frankfurt am Main, and the Restaurant Satory restaurant at Steigenberger Drei Mohren hotel in Augsburg. Without a doubt, these new Michelin stars made chefs of the restaurants mentioned above very happy. Michelin stars are recognition of the culinary talent of Anton Gschwendtner (chef at the Graf Zeppelin), Patrick Bittner (chef at the Frankfurter Hof), and Simon Lang (chef at the Satory).
For Steigenberger, this is another proof of the company’s commitment to bring only the best to its guests. The Français, the restaurant in the company’s hotel in Frankfurt, has always been famous for its fine food and excellent service. Patrick Bittner offers classic and light variations of French-inspired cuisine. Bittner is a famous chef who has held a Michelin star since 2009. The restaurant has also been given a high rank by Gault Millau 17 points.
Anton Gschwendtner gets a Michelin star for the second time. He made a successful career in Austria before moving to Germany to become the head chef of the Steigenberger’s Olivio restaurant in the Stuttgart hotel in 2018. Before that, Gschwendtner was working in the Loft Restaurant in Vienna. Present in the list of the Top 50 Cooks in Austria, Gschwendtner was named the “Rising star of the year” in the Rolling Pin Awards last year. At the Olivio, he offers modern French cuisine with some Asian influences.
The last but not the least, Simon Lang got a Michelin star for the first time. At the Satory, Lang offers French cuisine with a Mediterranean vibe. Before the success, Lang worked at the Hotel Alpenhof in Augsburg, then moved to Munich, and then worked in a Michelin star restaurant on Sylt Island. In Munich, Simon Lang worked with another famous Michelin star chef - Alfons Schuhbeck.
