Radisson Blu Opens a Hotel in Trabzon, Turkey

News The historic city of Trabzon, Turkey, doesn’t have many new hotel openings, and that fact makes the new Radisson Blu project even more important. The 162-room hotel enjoys a prime location in Boztepe, the cultural district of the famous city. Guests of the hotel will be able to enjoy spectacular views of the Black Sea right from their rooms. When the hotel starts operating, it will increase Radisson’s portfolio in Turkey to 21 hotels.

The company’s spokesman has expressed their delight with the new opening. Radisson Blu is the largest upscale hotel brand in Europe, so it is a worthy addition to the hospitality industry of the northeast coastline of Turkey. For centuries, Trabzon was an important strategic center on the Black Sea coast that was once a part of the legendary Silk Road. The city is not yet discovered by many international tourists, and Radisson Blu hopes to fix that, so more people can discover its rich cultural heritage, interesting landmarks, and gorgeous landscapes.

The Radisson Blu hotel in Trabzon will be located in Boztepe, home to several important religious landmarks and the four sacred fountains. Major landmarks of Boztepe include Hagia Sophia Mosque and the Boztepe Tea Garden. The distance to the city center is 2 kilometers, so guests of the hotel will no problem reaching the most famous restaurants, shops, and cafes of the city. The distance to Trabzon Airport is 7 kilometers.

The hotel will have guest rooms of different categories, including suites and special rooms for families. Some rooms offer breathtaking views of the sea, and some rooms face the city. The design is inspired by Scandinavian style. The hotel also offers free Wi-Fi to all guests. The hotel will offer two restaurants to its guests, Kolcuoglu and Queen. At Kolcuoglu, visitors can enjoy local cuisine and various authentic specialties, such as the Adana kebab. Queen will be focused on international cuisine and will offer the a la carte menu. Besides that, there will be a bar with a great range of cocktails.

To the service of guests, the new Trabzon hotel will offer a wellness center with a spa, two swimming pools (indoor and outdoor), and a modern gym. Business guests will be pleased to find five conference rooms. These rooms are 284 square meters large and have all the necessary audio-visual equipment. The hotel also has a big ballroom that has enough space for up to 1,200 people. The ballroom can be divided into two smaller rooms for events and celebrations that do not have that many participants.
