New Breakfasts at Aloft Hotels

News Marriott International has announced the launch of brand new breakfasts at Aloft Hotels. Named Re:fuel, the brand new program is aimed to provide guests with delicious and nutritious breakfasts on demand. These breakfasts come in a shape of a pot and are available in 13 varieties. In their attempts to create both trendy and healthy choices, Aloft offers such ingredients as freshly poached eggs, quinoa, avocado, cheddar grits, pancakes with lemon and ricotta, sweet potato, and more.

The new breakfast pots are already available in the US and soon will be added to Aloft hotels in Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. The hotelier notes that these pots may be different in different regions and will be adapted to local cuisines and tastes.

The idea to offer a new breakfast menu came up as a response to changing tastes of hotel guests. These days, travelers want more made-to-order items and are concerned about ingredients. Ordinary buffet type breakfasts do not inspire travelers anymore. Customization is another popular trend. Pots will different food inside are available on the grab-and-go basis in kiosks or guests can leisurely eat them in the restaurant hall. Each pot has a different design depending on the filling and has a label that indicates its production time.

According to the hotelier, no big investment is needed to add kiosks with new food pots to Aloft hotels around the world. The average price of opening a kiosk is approximately US$5,000. Having tested the new breakfast for only a month, participating Aloft hotels have seen their food revenues up by 9%. Guest satisfaction was also growing.

Re:fuel pots are available in various tastes and include vegetarian options. For example, The Original pot includes poached eggs, bacon, seasoned fries, scallion, and cheese sauce. The Classic pot offers scallion, poached egg, and corned beef hash. The Ranchero features avocado, black bean salsa, poached egg, grape tomato, tortilla chips, and lime sour cream. The Protein offers a powerful combination of basil, quinoa, kale, mushrooms, grape tomato, poached egg, turkey sausage, and lemon vinaigrette.

Guests, who choose the Paleo will enjoy poached egg, sweet potato hash, and scallion. The Hearty comes with bean and pork, poached egg, scallion and pepper. The Southern contains chicken pieces, cheddar grits, poached egg, two types of honey, and scallion. There are more varieties of breakfast pots, such as the Goodness, the Berry, the Classic Southern, the Lean Green, the Sweet, and the Branch.
