W Hotels Come to Osaka, Japan

News W Hotels Worldwide will finally mark their presence in the vibrant Japanese city of Osaka. One more hotel by the famous brand in the Land of the Rising Sun is set to open in 2021. The developer of the future hotel is well-known. It is Sekisui House, a long-term partner of Marriott International that W Hotels is a part of. The new hotel will become the first W-branded hotel not only in Osaka but also in whole Japan.

The W hotel in Osaka will be open in a newly built 27-story building with the bold and modern design. There will be 337 guest rooms and suites, as well as a range of high-quality facilities. Nowadays, Japan has become a hot destination that has drawn much attention recently due to the Olympic Games that will take place in the country in 2020. Even though the hotel won’t be ready in time for the games, experts forecast an increased interest in the country after the games as well. Therefore, according to W Hotels, they couldn’t find a better time to open their first hotel in Japan. Moreover, Osaka is the second largest city in the country, so there’s no wonder why it attracts both business and leisure tourists.

The new Osaka hotel will be open in an eye-catching building, the façade of which was developed by Tadao Ando. Located not far from Mido-Suji Boulevard, the hotel will provide its guests with simple and convenient access to best restaurants, boutiques, and entertainment of the famous street lined with Gingko trees. It takes approximately one hour to reach the hotel from Kansai International Airport. The hotelier promises that W hotel in Osaka will also charm its guests with nightlife and entertainment of the nearby Dotonbori district. Travelers who seek more traditional experiences and want to see the beauty of Japan will also like the Osaka Loop Line with 12 stops in different neighborhoods of the city.

As it was mentioned above, W Osaka will have 337 guestrooms, including 35 suites, and 3 special suites – two WOW suites and one EWOW (the equivalent of the Presidential Suite). Of course, there will be several restaurants and bars in the territory of the hotel. For now, the hotelier announced the signature WOO Bar and one more bar at the poolside, WET Deck. Amenities will also include a fitness center, FIT, and the AWAY Spa with various detox and rejuvenating treatments. To the service of business travelers, the hotel will offer a 400-square-meter large Great Room and a number of smaller meeting rooms.

W Osaka will join a portfolio of more than 50 W-branded hotels worldwide. Recently, the company has opened hotels in Shanghai, Suzhou, Bellevue, and on Goa. In the nearest future, hotels in Brisbane, Panama, and Amman will also greet their first guests. In total, W Hotels plan to expand their portfolio to 75 properties by 2020.
