Hard Rock Hotels has finally opened its first hotel in Continental Europe, Hard Rock Hotel Davos. The opening of a hotel in the Swiss Alps is, without a doubt, a significant milestone for the company. The new hotel is conveniently located right in the heart of the city, in Alexander House. This beautiful historical building constructed in 1882 is a wonderful choice for the iconic hotel chain famous for its one-of-a-kind design and dedication to rock music.
The hotelier expressed their excitement regarding the opening in one of the most famous destinations of Switzerland and the home of the World Economic Forum. Much effort was put into the transformation of the 130-year-old building into a hotel. The designer team of Hard Rock hotel in Davos tried to create a luxurious, music inspired alpine accommodation. The new hotel has all signature features of the brand such as priceless memorabilia exhibited on the walls throughout the property, the famous Sessions restaurant, and two bars.
To remind guests about the location of the hotel, the collection of memorabilia contains items by internationally famous musicians and local Swiss artists. Currently, the collection includes 65 items that include a sequin sweater worn by Michael Jackson, a silk shirt of Elvis Presley, and a silk stage outfit by Taylor Swift. Suitable for both leisure and business travelers, Hard Rock Hotel Davos will have 110 luxuriously designed guest rooms, including 31 fully serviced apartments that will range from one to three bedrooms. All rooms and apartments will feature the signature Sleep Like a Rock bed linen.
Dining options are represented by the Sessions restaurant mentioned above and two bars. One of the bars, The 5th, is located on the roof of the building. It is the only bar in Davos with the stunning 360-degree panorama of the mountains. The other bar, GMT + 1, is a perfect place for visitors who like exotic drinks. A dedicated team of mixologists has already created a number of exclusive cocktails for guests of the hotel. The restaurant offers many local specialties and seasonal food. Some of the signature dishes include Wild Boar Goulash and Iced Toblerone Mousse.
Business visitors will be pleased to find a selection of conference and meeting rooms. The new Davos hotel also has a historic chapel that is available for hire. It’s a fantastic place for weddings, banquets, and other festive events. All guests have access to The Sound of Your Stay amenities that includes Fender guitars, a Crosley turntable, amps, headphones, and other equipment. Next year, a modern wellness center will appear at the hotel. It will include treatment rooms, the signature Rock Spa, and a yoga studio.
