Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts prepared something new for their clients. The internationally famous hotel chain showed its creative side by offering an upgraded menu inspired by Swiss cuisine. Well-known and traditional dishes look and taste completely new with the reinvented approach and new ingredients.
Swiss cuisine is essential for Mövenpick as it reflects the brand’s heritage. However, skilled chefs of the hotel decided to “marry” tradition and innovation. The result is truly awesome local cuisine got a touch of international vibe. The hotelier hopes that the dishes will appeal to travelers globally. The new menu will be available for order in all Mövenpick hotels around the world within a month. It is also reported that these signature dishes will become a permanent option.
The new dishes include healthy choices for everyone, from a light carrot cake for visitors who need gluten-free food to beef tartare and toasted brioche. The main idea was to take traditional Swiss dishes and make them lighter and easily digestible, at the same time retaining the original flavor and signature ingredients. For example, the upgraded version of beef tartare now comes with butter and brioche toast and is available in three options mild, medium, and fiery.
Riz Casimir is another traditional dish by Mövenpick. Invented by the company’s founded, Ueli Prager, it has been on the menus of the restaurants since 1952. The new version comes with Jasmine rice, curry sauce, and tiny veal slices. Carrot cake got a cream cheese topping, and the Zurich style veal now contains mushroom sauce, cream, and crispy rösti.
These are the core dishes of the upgraded menu, but each Mövenpick hotel and resort can also choose from the list of additional signature dishes and include them into menus. This choice will be based on the location of a specific hotel and tastes of restaurant guests. These extra reinvented dishes are Rosti Bufala Mozzarella e Pomodoro, Caesar Salad, Mövenpick Birchermüseli, Tomato Soup, Club Sandwich, and more.
