Hard Rock Comes to Malta

Hard Rock International will finally open its third hotel in Europe. After debuts in Ibiza and Tenerife, a resort by the legendary Hard Rock brand is set to open in Malta. The resort will open its doors in 2020. Hard Rock hotel in Malta will have 370 guestrooms, 110 of which will be suites with beautiful balcony views.

The hotel will be a part of a mixed use development db City Centre that is currently under construction. In addition to the hotel, it will include luxury residences, a large shopping mall and even some office space. Db City Centre enjoys awesome location in the area of St. George’s Bay. Given that the hotel will be built on a historic site, its main theme will be connected with the 19th century British military design as accommodation quarters were once located there. It was also promised that the surviving original buildings will be fully restored prior to the opening of the hotel.

The tourist industry of Malta has been growing in recent years. Last year the famous resort greeted nearly 2 million visitors. To fit their needs, Hard Rock Hotel Malta will offer rich choice of amenities and services. The hotel will have several high quality restaurants and bars, including signature offers like Skybar and a rooftop lounge. Body Rock fitness centre and nearly 16,000 square feet Rock Spa are also in the waiting list. Numerous pools and extra-large event space exceeding 37,000 square feet may make the hotel a perfect destination for various events and celebrations. The hotel is said to create as many as 1,500 jobs and help the local economy.
