Café Royal in London opened its new Green Bar Botanicals & Tonics, a bar that is dedicated to gin production and mixology, as well as botanicals that are traditionally used with the drink. The special menu is called “Gin Journey”, and it offers a wide selection of various cocktails with gin. Here guests will find such drinks as Portobello Road No. 171 (Fever Tree Indian Tonic, rosemary and blood orange), Monkey 47 Sloe Gin (Fever Tree Indian Tonic, orange peel), Half Hitch (1724 tonic with cinnamon), Elephant Gin (Thomas Henry Indian tonic, lemon grass and fresh ginger), and one more signature drink Kumquat Bubble (Tanqueray 10, grapefruit, mint, and Fever Tree Lemonade). This cocktail is also served at Café Royal in another sister property, The Conservatorium hotel in Amsterdam.
Guests of the café are also welcome to try some exclusive drinks with Tanqueray gins. Some drinks are marked as limited edition because they include rare ingredients. Tanqueray Old Tom Gin is one of them. The drink is made in accordance with its original recipe developed by Charles Tanqueray in 1835. The drink contains sweeter gin, angelica root, juniper, liquorice and coriander. Gin fans will be sure attracted by Tanqueray Malacca (gin with citrus and juniper accents), Tanqueray Bloomsbury (gin with cassia bark, angelica, juniper and winter savory) drinks, or Tanqueray Rangpur (Rangpur lime mixed with bay leaves, juniper, ginger and coriander).
