Hilton Worldwide has made agreement with Icelandair Hotels in order to bring Curio Collection to the capital of Iceland, Reykjavik.
Both the hotels are located in the central part of the city and are currently under construction. Reykjavik Consulate Hotel and Iceland Parliament Hotel are owned by Icelandair Group and will be operated by Hilton. The internationally famous hotelier already has a hotel in Reykjavik Hilton Reykjavik Nordica opened in 2007. Another hotel, Canopy by Hilton Reykjavik, is set to open this summer. Curio is an upscale brand by Hilton with hotels around the world. Recent additions to the portfolio include a hotel in Hamburg and hotels under development in Paris, Istanbul, Dubai, and London.
Reykjavik Consulate hotel is located just few meters away from the Harpa Conference and Concert Hall. The hotel will greet its first guests in 2018. The hotel will feature traditional design mixed with Icelandic aesthetic. The 50 guestrooms of the hotel will be made with natural materials and have references to Reykjavik heritage. The spa center of the hotel features a 19th century stone wall. The hotel’s restaurant will offer dishes from Nordic cuisine with the highest quality ingredients.
Iceland Parliament Hotel is located directly opposite the main square of the city. The square is the location of the majority of public celebrations. This hotel will feature 160 stylish guestrooms and is set to open in 2018. The hotel will also host a museum on the ground floor. The museum will host the exhibition dedicated to the history of Iceland’s democracy.
