Red Planet Hotels announced the end of its partnership with Tune Hotels and rebranding of existing 21 hotels. All the hotels will launch the Red Planet portfolio and will share the new philosophy of the brand. All 24 hotels in Japan, Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines with 3,783 guestrooms in total will share the new tech-inspired approach. The hotelier will also open new flagship hotels in Tokyo and Bangkok closer to the end of 2015.
Founded in 2011, Red Planet managed to attract capital from private investors and plans to be publically listed in the region in the nearest future. The company, which is headquartered in Bangkok, targets value conscious travelers who are interested in quality service with all up-to-date technology perks included at attractive price. As the company’s management says, they are into creating value for their customers, so when they leave Red Planet hotels, they feel like it was a smart decision to choose it. In order to suite the new orientation, Red Planet invests a lot into its IT platform. The company upgrades Wi-Fi speed at all hotels and develops a new mobile app that allows booking through it and can be used to sign-in when guests arrive at the hotel. Moreover, the application has some extended functionality, such as news about events and places of interest near the chosen hotel, room-to-room and desk chat, as well as some other features. Red Hotels also develop their own loyalty system called Remembered that will offer rewards for stays.
