The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company plans to open its second hotel in Malaysia. The luxury accommodation will be located in a popular place known as the Petaling Jaya Golden Triangle. The special area is called Empire City and it will gather only best hotels, restaurants and shopping centers. The project is currently under development and is set to open in 2016.
Ritz-Carlton representative has already expressed their delight with the deal and ability to open a hotel in such a unique location. Empire City is a project that will give a boost to the whole economy of the country. Malaysians, who live in the Klang Valley region, will particularly benefit from the new project as it will improve their lifestyle conditions and create many job opportunities. Empire City will occupy the territory of 30 acres, and will be finished in several phases. The project is expected to be completely ready in 2016. When finished, it will include over 2.5million square feet of retail space, around 1.2 million square feet of office space and a luxury Ritz-Carlton hotel. The hotel will be located in a grand 53-storey building and will occupy 4 acres in total. The Ritz-Carlton Petaling Jaya will also become one of the tallest buildings in the region.
The new hotel will offer all signature services of the brand, and all of its 288 guestrooms and suites will feature luxurious design the Ritz-Carlton is famous for.
