Starwood Was Added to Apple Watch

Not so long ago Apple has launched a new product – Apple Watch, and Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide is already featured in that device. The hotelier has developed a special application for its loyalty program users.

The Starwood’s loyalty program app for iOS could be seen during the presentation of the Apple Watch – the first wearable device by the famous company that will hit shop shelves in 2015. Members of Starwood Preferred Guest program and owners of the device will get some very interesting features. For example, they can unlock the door of their guestroom just by holding the watch near door and tapping on it. This feature will be available in all W Hotels around the world by spring 2015.

It has been reported that the use of the Apple Watch as key will be not the only feature available. Starwood will add more functionality to the app. The hotelier sees great potential in the device and thinks it can really help make their services more convenient and personalized. For example, when guests arrive at an airport of destination, a notification will show them how to get to the hotel. When reach the hotel, the watch will display room number and other instructions, and when you come to the bar, the device will ask whether u want to order your favorite cocktail.
