Artyzen Hospitality Group will soon open its first hotel in Asia Pacific through Artyzan CitizenM Asia Ltd. The debut property will operate under the CitizenM brand and will be located in Taipei. This is the first success of promoting the brand in the region and first collaboration with Alpha Asia Macro Trends Fund II that awarded Artyzen with the contract.
The hotel is set to open in Q4 2016. The owner of Alpha Asia Macro Trends Fund is Alpha Investment Partners that belongs to Singapore developer Keppel Land. In order to promote the brand in Asia and introduce it to travellers in the region, Artyzen and Alpha have set a joint venture company Artyzan CitizenM Asia Ltd. The hotelier has very ambitious plans regarding the region, and plans to open hotels in all gateway cities of the region, such as Beijing, Shanghai, Jakarta, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Bangkok. There is already some information regarding the first hotel by Artyzen. The 260-guestroom property will be located in Ximending, a popular district in Taipei that is often compared with Harajuku and Shibuya.
Currently, the brand CitizenM includes seven hotels in such popular destinations as New York, London and Paris. Six more hotels are in pipeline. When they start operating, the portfolio of the company will include 3,000 keys. Artyzen also calls gateway cities of Asia, Europe and North America its main priority. The hotelier is interested in new buildings, rebranding existing hotels, mixed-use developments and conversions.
