Le Meridien Hotels & Resorts launched new program together with famous pastry chef Johnny Iuzzini. The global éclair program will be available worldwide. According to it, guests of Le Meridien hotels will be welcome to try new pastries, each with its new unique flavor. The three standard pastries include coffee, chocolate and vanilla flavors, and every hotel will have its own signature pastry with locally inspired flavor. These pastries will be absolutely different. For example, Le Meridien hotel in Munich will offer an éclair with cranberry, goat cheese and pumpernickel crumbs, while Le Meridien Dallas by the Galleria will offer a special éclair with Texas honey pecan.
All the éclair flavors were developed by Iuzzini. Within next 12 months he will create eight more recipes especially for Le Meridien Hotels. In order to do that, the chef will make a global tour to the company’s hotels in different parts of the world, so he can feel special features of every destination. Named Iuzzini’s Éclair Diaries, the program will start on July 10 in San Francisco. Iuzzini will travel from city to city by motorcycle, and will look at local products and search for inspiration for éclair recipes that will be presented to public on autumn 2014. The program will not be stopped this year, and in 2015 Iuzzini’s Éclair Recipes will be spread to more destinations.
The launch of new éclair flavors in Le Meridien hotels will be coupled with special on-property events, during which guests are welcome to participate in do-it-yourself éclair tutorials, sample food and enjoy other entertainment activities involving éclair.
