W Hotels to Debut in Shenyang
Starwood Hotels and Resorts will improve the presence of its brand W Hotels Worldwide in China by opening a hotel in Shenyang, a province in Northeast China. The property will start operating in 2019. The hotel will be open in accordance with agreement with Shenyang Huaqiang Jinlang City Square Properties Co., Ltd.
The new hotel will be located on Qingnian Avenue, which is also known as Golden Corridor of Shenyang. The avenue has direct access to cultural, administrative and business districts of the city.
Ever since its debut in China, W brand tries to bring luxury hotel segment of the country to the new level. The new W hotel in Shenyang will have modern stylish design, signature bar and restaurant, and will certainly offer Whatever/Whenever service.
In total, Starwood plans to open 12 hotels in the Asia Pacific region under the W Hotels brand. More than a half of these properties will be open in China. New flagship hotels will also open in such famous cities as Beijing and Shanghai, as well as in smaller ones, such as Suzhou, Chengdu, and Changsha.
Shenyang is known as trade, commercial, and economic centre of the region. Starwood wanted to open a hotel that will set up new standard of hospitality in Shenyang. When W Shenyang starts operating, the hotelier is sure that it will become the best hotel in the city and the best choice for domestic and international guests.
The new hotel will have 280 guestrooms, 30 of which are suites, and a special suite named Extreme Wow Suite (equivalent of Presidential Suite in other hotel chains). The hotel will have more than 26,000 sq. ft. of meeting and event space, a WIRED business centre available 24 hours a day, a spa centre, FIT gym, WET indoor swimming pool with heating, and The Store – a chain of shops in the hotel. Dining facilities will be represented by four spots – a restaurant featuring innovative Chinese cuisine, an all-day dining restaurant, a specialty restaurant, and Living Room Bar.
