W Hotel in Taipei Rewards Non-professional Food Photographers

International popularity of social networks and photo sharing services has given birth to a worldwide phenomenon – making photos of food. Nowadays, it’s absolutely usual to see a restaurant visitor who takes pictures of own dish to post them in social networks. W hotel in Taipei decided to praise these amateur photographers and food stylists and organized a contest for them. Guests of the hotel’s restaurant The Kitchen Table Restaurant can forget about embarrassment when taking photos of food as they are welcome to make photos and post them in Instagram using the #ilovetkt hashtag and linking to @WTaipei in their posts. Authors of best photographs will win prizes from the hotel.

Each month, on the last day, most creative photos will be published on the Facebook page of W Taipei. Winners will be given special certificates that allow having a free dinner for four people at The Kitchen Table.

Some amateur photographers manage to take true masterpiece shots of their food, so W Taipei decided to keep a kind of “photographic food diary” that may get many followers and fans.
