InterContinental Opens a Hotel in Davos

InterContinental has recently opened its new hotel right above Lake Davos. The hotel is a definite attention catcher with its futuristic design and spectacular location. Without a doubt, it sets up new standard for all luxury hotels in the country.

Guests of the new hotel are welcome to stay in one of 216 individually appointed rooms. Each guestroom and suite has a private balcony. The territory of the hotel includes various sports facilities, both indoor and outdoor, a 12,000 sq. ft. large spa, various conference and gastronomy facilities. Visitors with kids will be pleased with Globini Kids Club and Sixteenhundred Teens Club.

The façade of the hotel is decorated with gold colored steel elements. The oval shaped building is located right at the mouth of the Fluela Pass. From its balconies, guests of the hotel will enjoy the looks of the Grisons Alps. The region and its nature have also been reflected in the design of the hotel and of the spa with its traces of gold, natural rock and Alpine herbs. Dining facilities are represented by the Brasserie Capricorn, the Nuts&Co lounge bar, the restaurant Matsu, and Studio Grigio on the top of the building. The hotel is also suitable for business meetings and other events with its 13,000 sq. ft. of functional space.

Smaller kids are welcome to visit the Globini Kids Club, where they can play across two floors. Older children have their own club – the Sixteenhundred Teens Club with various entertainment facilities and even a movie theatre! Angerer Sports Shop features latest collections by famous brands and sells sports equipment. All guests of the hotel can get personalized concierge service. Finally, as the hotel is a “Ski-Label”, its guests can attend various excursions developed together with Davos Klosters free of charge or enjoy the beauty of local nature together with mountain guides.
