IHG will open two more hotels in Germany together with its long-time partner Foremost Hospitality HIEX GmbH. The new franchised properties will operate under the Holiday Inn Express brand.
The first hotel will be opened in Hamburg. Holiday Inn Express Hamburg City Hauptbahnhof will be the third hotel by this brand in one of iconic German cities. Other two hotels are Holiday Inn Express Hamburg St. Pauli Messe and Holiday Inn Express Hamburg City Centre. The newly built hotel has 117 guestrooms. Holiday Inn Express Hamburg City Hauptbahnhof has convenient location with fast access to Hamburg Central Station, from which it is easy to reach airport, various trading centres, residential complexes and the new HafenCity development. IHG plans to draw attention of both business and leisure clients.
The second hotel, Holiday Inn Express Freiburg City, has 120 guestrooms. Scheduled for opening in 2015, this will be the first Holiday Inn Express hotel in the city of Freiburg. Freiburg will be primarily interesting for leisure travellers. Located close to France and Switzerland, this city is also not far away from the so called Black Forest region.
Holiday Inn Express brand was launched in 1991. This is one of the largest and fastest growing hotel brands in the hotel industry in general. Currently, there are more than 2200 Holiday Inn Express hotels in 31 countries of the world.
