Oakwood Worldwide to Open its Eighth Hotel in Tokyo
Oakwood Worldwide, one of the leading companies in the sphere of serviced apartments and corporate housing in the world, will soon manage one more hotel in Tokyo, increasing the total number of hotels in the capital of Japan to eight. The hotel operator has concluded a 5-year management contract with Ascendas Hospitality. The agreement becomes valid starting from January 1, 2014.
Former B:CONTE Ariake will be rebranded as Oakwood Apartments Ariake. When the serviced apartments complex starts operating, the total number of apartments by Oakwood in Tokyo will be 580. Oakwood Apartments Ariake is located close to such famous landmarks as Tokyo Waterfront Secondary City, Tokyo Disneyland, Tokyo Big Sight, and Palette Town. It is also very simple to access Tokyo Haneda Airport from the hotel. Moreover, Ariake Colosseum – the venue that will host many 2020 Olympic events – is also located nearby.
Oakwood Apartments Ariake will certainly attract mostly business travellers. Currently, the hotelier is in the process of negotiations that may permit stays of less than 30 days. The serviced apartments complex has 122 apartments of different type – 98 studios and 24 one-bedroom apartments. Almost all the apartments offer beautiful views of the city. A standard apartment has a kitchenette, dryer and washer, and free Wi-Fi. All visitors have access to concierge services, fitness center, a restaurant and a café.
Other hotels by Oakwood in Japan are located in Aoyama, Roppongi, Akasaka, Shirokane, Azabujyuban, and Tokyo Midtown.
