The Paris-headquartered hotel company Louvre Hotels Group has announced the signing of a partnership agreement with a large Chinese hotel developer in Sichuan province Chengdu Mareka Hotel Property Management. According to the agreement, the companies will open as many as 100 Tulip Inn hotels in the province within next 5 years.
The official announcement was organized in Chengdu in the middle of November. During the event, first ten hotels in the region were named. They will mark the presence of the Tulip Inn brand in Sichuan. During the first stage of the project, five hotels will be rebranded and will start working under the new brand. These will be hotels in Chongqing, Xichang, and Chengdu. All the five hotels will have approximately 420 guestrooms. Four additional hotels will be built in Tibet, and there will also be a Royal Tulip hotel in Chengdu with 450 guestrooms. All the hotels will be opened in accordance with franchise agreements.
The new hotels will be full members of Louvre Hotels Group, and so their visitors will have access to all privileges of the loyalty program of Louvre and its partners. Currently, the program has more than 3 million members in China. With such a big base of Chinese customers, Tulip Inn hotels have a real chance to become very successful in the country.
The new partnership is a major step forward for Louvre Group in its desire to make an extensive network of hotels in the country. Earlier, Louvre signed an agreement with Campanile and Jingjang groups regarding the opening of 15 hotels in the country.
