Recently, BMI Regional conducted an interesting survey. It asked 1,000 female business travelers to share their habits and preferences. These days, when the number of business women grows, they become highly sought after guests in many hotels worldwide. More than 25% of business women say they fly more often these days than five years ago. Women are also more organized than men 39% of respondents say they make all arrangements for business trips four weeks or less in advance. Compare this to male travelers, 20% of who plan their trips just several days in advance.
Male travelers are more concerned about their status. For example, they care about flying in a premium class, while women are more concerned about their safety. More than a quarter (28%) of female respondents say they feel safe abroad, and 15% of businesswomen say they still prefer to travel together with a companion. A quarter of females say they’d prefer to have single sex lavatories in airplanes. However, only 6% are ready to pay for single sex facilities. Finally, 10% of business female travelers say they like the idea of single aircraft sections for women. Women also tend to prefer lighter meals and are more concerned about health. This is something that is already taken into consideration by some airline companies.
