Concierge services have become very popular and sought after in many hotels around the world. Concierge will help you solve many problems quickly and professionally, but how about a “spice concierge”? We bet our readers haven’t heard about them.
Phulay Bay hotel in Krabi (Thailand), a popular reserve managed by Ritz-Carlton, offers brand new experience for its guests. Visitors of the hotel are welcome to use services of this concierge, who will help them find out more about unique Thai spices, such as galangal, lemongrass, or kaffir lime. A spice concierge, who is an expert in Thai spices, also chooses a “spice of the month” and organizes a series of events dedicated to it. For example, upon their arrival, guests of the hotel are treated with free complimentary drinks with the chosen spice. The drinks are served in both arrival pavilion and all six restaurants of the hotel. By the way, the hotel’s restaurants are supplied with special cool-down hand towels that have the flavour of the month’s spice.
It seems that everything in Phulay Bay is connected with spices. Guests are offered to try spiced turndown cookies, enjoy alcohol and non-alcohol beverages with various spices, and even attend special spa treatments in the hotel’s spa centre! Finally, all guests who visit spice demonstrations get free spice packets with native Thai recipes attached.
