Renaissance Hotels has announced quite an unusual promotion for Mother’s Day. Now all visitors of Renaissance Hotels all over the world are welcome to try some brand new variations of the classic Bloody Mary cocktail. All the cocktails were inspired by different cities and, therefore, have some truly distinctive and even unusual ingredients.
Visitors will be able to try these fabulous drinks on the Mother’s Day weekend in selected Renaissance properties. All the cocktails were created by Jose Garces, chef of Mercat a la Planxa in Renaissance Chicago, who is also known as “Iron Chef America”.
The new cocktails include such interesting drinks as the Puerto Maria, which is inspired by the city of San Juan, Puerto Rico. This cocktail contains sofrito in Puerto Rican style and rum. The drink is decorated with chicharrones and a plantain chip. Fans of hot drinks will also like Little Havana Verde, which is inspired by Miami. This cocktail consists of green vegetable juice, crudité and cucumber vodka. If you are interested in something more oriental, the Bloody Pearl may be your choice. This cocktail has come from Hong Kong. It contains gin, Chinese hot sauce, caraway seeds, Chinese black vinegar, and some other ingredients. These are not all cocktail variations available. Guests are welcome to try Al Fresca Mary inspired by Tuscany (peppered vodka, balsamic syrup, tomato juice, and strawberries with pepperoncini), Fisherman’s Blood inspired by San Francisco (vodka, tabasco and clamato), and other drinks. Despite some rare and exotic ingredients, the average cost of one drink is US$12.
