Hotel Dedicated to Sports Opens in Phuket
Last year a very interesting hotel was opened in Phuket. Thanyapura Sports & Leisure Club is even told to be the first sports hotel in Asia.
The Sports Hotel has 78 guestrooms and is located on a 23-hectare large plot of land. Guests of the hotel can choose from 34 Energy rooms and 34 Sports rooms. All the guestrooms feature an original design that is inspired by sports. Guest areas are decorated with prints that are inspired by works of Gregory Burns. There are also some exclusive items and menus that will remind visitors of the hotel’s theme – a special menu for athletes, wide choice of various energy drinks in minibar, bike racks, and more.
Visitors of the hotel are welcome to try different kinds of sports including football, triathlon, tennis, rugby, and aquatics. All trainings are made by professional coaches and champions. Several coaches in Thanyapura are internationally known sportsmen. Visitors are certainly welcome to enjoy less traditional sports and practices, such as yoga or Muay Thai.
Dining facilities are represented by DiVine restaurant and health bar named Booster Bar. The resort will have a spa centre that will offer a signature sports massage.
Of course, all sports facilities are of the highest quality at the resort. For example, the rugby pitch is made in full accordance with International Rugby Board standards. There are also a swimming pool that fits Olympic standards; a FIFA-compatible football pitch; a 500m track for long jump, triple jump and high jump with a grandstand for 1500 seats; 6 tennis courts, four of which are equipped with 600-seat grandstands; studios for yoga, pilates, martial arts and different types of dances; a hypoxia room, a spinning room, and a fitness centre.
