The Park Hotels, one of the few Indian boutique hoteliers, has announced the creation of a new hotel brand. The brand’s name is “Zone by The Park”. This is going to be an upscale brand targeted at Indian travellers.
It is reported that the first hotel under the new brand will appear already in the end of this year. The parent company of Park Hotels, Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels, announced it had concluded contracts concerning the opening of four hotels under the new brand.
When describing the brand, its creators said they were planning to make something for quickly developing Indian middle class. Currently, there is a definite gap in the Indian hotel market when it comes to quality hotels with the average price of US$80-100 per night. Zone by The Park hotels may also attract savvy international travellers.
The new hotel brand will mostly feature contemporary design with catchy details, multifunctional spaces, great restaurants and bars, and nighttime entertainments. According to the company’s management, the typical Indian traveller has changed. Now more and more people move quickly up the career ladder, and they want to stay in modern hotels with better service. These are passionate people who prefer urban style, but who are not yet able to pay for luxury hotels. Midscale hotels with upbeat mood will perfectly fit these modern travellers.
