Soon Holiday Inn hotel will appear in the Indian city of Mugaon. This has become possible in accordance with the agreement between InterContinental Hotels Group, the largest hotel company of the world in terms of the room number, and Lavasa Corporation. Holiday Inn Lavasa hotel in Mugaon will be a midscale accommodation with 200 guestrooms. The hotel is to open by 2015.
Lavasa is the first planned hill city in India, which is located in the western part of the country. The city is well-known for its stunning picturesque views located among 7 hills, Lavasa is close to the Sahayadri Mountains and lakes. The city is approximately three hours away from Mumbai, and one hour away from Pune. The city is expected to become a popular residential, commercial and business center of the region. It is already home to numerous shops, cafes, educational institutions, popular sports academies (Nick Faldo Golf Academy and Manchester City Football Academy), and large themed parks like Hollywood-Bollywood park or the Space theme park supported by USSRC.
Holiday Inn Lavasa will meet the new standards of Holiday Inn hotels (recently IHG has decided to invest US$1 billion into the re-launch of existing hotels). It will have a lobby of the new design, new reception desk and even new scents and sounds developed specifically for Holiday Inn hotels. In addition to guestrooms, the hotel will have numerous food and beverage outlets, a modern business center with up-to-date equipment, meeting and event space, and a large ballroom. All these make Holiday Inn Lavasa hotel in Mugaon an optimal choice for both business and leisure travellers. The hotel will be located in a new building, the construction of which is to start in the third quarter of 2013.
The city of Mugaon is a fast developing settlement with more and more tourists coming every month, so there is a definite lack of hotels. The city is yet at the process of building and is to be completed by 2012. At that time it is expected to become one of the most popular destinations for middle-class travellers.
