Park Inn Comes to Zalakaros, Hungary

Radisson is to open its Park Inn hotel in Zalakaros, Hungary. This will be the third Park Inn hotel in the country. The hotel will have 236 guestrooms, and will start operating in the beginning of 2015.

The hotel will be opened in accordance with an agreement with Proform, a Hungarian partner of Rezidor. The companies have already opened hotels in Sarvar and Budapest. The new hotel in Zalakaros will expand the European portfolio of Park Inn to 43 hotels (both developing and in operation).

Park Inn Zalakaros will have 236 spacious guestrooms, a big all day-dining restaurant, and a bar in the lounge zone. Business travellers will enjoy comfortable meeting facilities, while a huge 400 sq. m. ballroom will make the hotel a popular destination for various conferences and other events. The hotel will be located in the central part of the city, and so its guests will have a direct access to the famous Granit Thermal & Medical Spa, and to the city’s new Aquapark with a water surface area of over 5,000 sq. m.

Zalakaros is known as one of the most popular tourist cities of Hungary. One of the main reasons for this is Lake Balaton, which is located nearby. The lake is known as the second most popular tourist destination after Budapest. This part of the country is also famous thanks to its large vineyards and centuries old traditions of hydrotherapy.

Park Inn by Radisson is a popular mid-market brand with over 160 hotels in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.
