London Resort Company Holdings (LRCH) has revealed its plans concerning the building of a large world class entertainment centre in the UK. The Paramount-themed resort on the Swanscombe Peninsula, North Kent, will cost the company £2 billion.
The new entertainment complex is told to become of the largest in Europe. The complex will cover 872 acres and will create up to 27,000 new jobs. In order to open the resort, LRCH has signed a contract with Hollywood-based Paramount Pictures. According to the contract, LRCH will bring the Paramount resort brand to the UK.
Currently LRCH is in the process of negotiations with several major British brands. The building organization for the project is Brookfield Multiplex, known for its super-scale projects. Another partner of LRCH is Development Securities, one of the leading investment companies in the country. The companies have an aim to open one of the leading entertainment destinations in Europe that will include a large Paramount-themed resort and a whole district of various entertainment facilities. The territory will include cinemas, concert halls, theatres, hotels, attractions, restaurants, and a water park with the largest indoor swimming pool in Europe.
Despite a huge size, the resort will be near Ebbsfleet International. It will take just 17 minutes to get from the resort to London, and two hours to reach Paris. LRCH and its partners will spend a year planning the resort, and its opening is scheduled for 2018.
