Steigenberger Hotel Group has announced the latest addition to its portfolio – Steigenberger Grand Hotel in Brussels. The Frankfurt-headquartered hotelier will open a luxury accommodation in the capital of Belgium in January 2013.
The 269 guestroom hotel is currently operating as a part of Wiltcher’s complex and is managed by the Conrad brand. The managing contract will expire in the end of 2012, after which Steigenberger will take over the hotel in Avenue Louise.
The news concerning the hotel in Brussels came just a week after another acquisition of Steigenberger – a hotel at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. Expansion to major European cities is currently the main target of the German hotelier. The company already has hotels in Zurich, Frankfurt, Vienna, and Berlin.
The future Steigenberger grand Hotel Brussels is located right in the heart of the city close to the Royal Palace, the European Parliament, the Exhibition and Convention Centre, and other famous sights of Brussels. The historic building features 269 guestrooms and 32 suites, a huge 3,200 sq. m. fitness center and spa, a restaurant and a bar, business and meeting facilities for up to 600 people, and the largest ballroom without columns in the city (550 sq. m.).
