The Peninsula Hong Kong is currently undergoing an extensive renovation. Recently the hotel announced that the first stage of its renovation program had been finished.
Now guests of the iconic hotel in Hong Kong can enjoy staying in fully redesigned guestrooms. The new design is greatly inspired by private jets and luxury yachts. The design team has also paid much attention to in-room technologies. Guests will be definitely excited with the new rooms that will make their stay in the hotel even more personalized. For example, the rooms are equipped with numerous special touch-screen panels that allow controlling curtains, lightning and even room temperature. Each guestroom can be programmed to display information in one of five languages, and a language is set up before a guest checks-in. The hotel’s management says more languages are to be added in future.
These are not all technical innovations as there is also a wireless touch-screen tablet that can be used throughout the guestroom. The tablet displays weather, can be used to order various room services, and more. All guestrooms are equipped with LCD touch-screen wireless phones that can be used to make free VoIP international calls.
More upgrades are to come in future as the hotel continues its renovation. Peninsula also promises to entertain its guests with the new multimedia global branding campaign. Especially for this campaign Jean-Claude Thibaut and Ridley Scott Productions have created a series of short films.
