10th Hotel in China for Interstate Hotels & Resorts

Interstate Hotels & Resorts has announced that it is to manage a newly built hotel in Jiaxing, China. This will be the tenth property operated by Interstate in China. The 396-guestroom hotel is currently under construction and is expected to start operating in 2013. Jiaxing Jin Jiang Xiang Jiadang Lake Hotel will also become the third Jin Jiang branded property managed by Interstate Hotels & Resorts. The famous hotelier operates in China under the name Interstate China Hotels & Resorts Company Limited (or just Interstate China), and this is a joint venture between Interstate Hotels & Resorts and the Shanghai-based company of Jin Jiang International Hotels Company, which is also known as the leading hotel developer and operator in China.

The new hotel will be located on the north of Jiaxing, Zhejiang Province. The beautiful resort is built right along Xiang Jiadang Lake and is just one hour away by car from Shanghai. In addition to leisure services the hotel will be equipped with various business and meeting facilities. The hotel will feature 26,000 sq. ft. of flexible meeting and banquet space. There will also be not only guestrooms, but also comfortable two-storey villas. The territory of the hotel will also include a swimming pool, spa centre, fitness centre, cigar bar and two restaurants – a Chinese and a western one.

Interstate China also operates several popular accommodations, such as five-star hotels in Shanghai, Beijing and Wuhan. The company has been selected to operate J Hotel in Shanghai Tower – the tallest hotel in China that is set to open in 2015.
