Soon 100 green hotels across Ireland will get charge points for e-cars. The agreement has been already signed by ESB e-cars and Failte Ireland.
The aim of the project is very simple – to increase the infrastructure of ESB’s network and continue development of green tourism in Ireland. More than 60 hotels have signed up the agreement at the moment. Soon they will be equipped with charge points on their sites. The works have already started and are now at full bloom according to ESB.
With these charge points owners of e-cars will be able to drive safely point-to-point. They will not need to develop their routes in Ireland carefully in order to be able to charge their vehicles. The Irish government is very serious about environment and plans to make all cars on the roads of Ireland electric by 2020. More information on this theme will be presented in International Electric Vehicle Summit that takes place in Dublin on July the 11th.
Hotels in Ireland with green accreditation will get these charge points first. In order to get this accreditation, a hotel must pass through a certification by the Green Tourism Business Scheme, the Green Hospitality Award, STEP, EU Flower or EcoTourism Ireland.
