Popular hotel brand, Indigo Hotels, owned by IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group) will soon mark its presence in Whales, the UK, by opening the first hotel in Cardiff.
Hotel Indigo Queen Street Cardiff will be managed by a long-term partner of IHG, Sanguine Hospitality Ltd., which already manages four Hotel Indigo, including such popular accommodations as Hotel Indigo in Birmingham and Hotel Indigo in Liverpool.
The signing of the deal concerning the hotel in Cardiff is the result of the quick growth of the brand throughout Europe. The signing of the management deal almost coincided with the opening of the second Hotel Indigo in Berlin (Hotel Indigo Berlin Centre Alexanderplatz) and the second Hotel Indigo in Scotland (Hotel Indigo in Edinburgh).
Indigo is one of the newest brands by IHG. The first hotel under this brand appeared in 2004. The hotel brand has quickly become the fastest growing brand in the hotelier’s portfolio. First Hotel Indigo in Europe was opened in 2009. Since that time seven hotels have been opened in the region and 10 more are currently in the pipeline.
The new hotel in Cardiff is located on a popular pedestrians only Queen Street. The hotel is just several minutes away from Cardiff Castle, Millennium Stadium, business part of the city and even beautiful harbor area. All Indigo hotels are known for their careful approach to design and character of the surrounding area. The 92-guestroom Hotel Indigo in Cardiff will be no exception and will feature luxury Victorian style. The hotel will be equipped with a high quality bar, and a 280 sq. m. large restaurant that will serve either guests of the hotel or locals. The restaurant and the bar will be located on the top floor of the building. All visitors will be welcome to use free Wi-Fi Internet throughout the hotel. There will also be a 24h fitness center and 24h service.
