Hilton Worldwide has just signed the deal with Qatari Al Rayyan Tourism Investment Company (ARTIC) concerning the opening of 2 new hotels in Doha. The hotels will operate under the DoubleTree brand and are expected to open in 2014.
The new hotels are the 240-guestroom DouleTree Suites by Hilton Doha and the 145-guestroom DoubleTree by Hilton Doha – Al Sadd. The Al Sadd hotel will be located right in the center of the business district of the city and will feature a wide range of various facilities. In the territory of the hotel will be located a lobby lounge, a health club, a bar, two health clubs and two restaurants. Due to the location of the hotel it will also be equipped with extensive meeting and business facilities, such as its own business centre, two boardrooms, and four meeting rooms.
The second hotel, DoubleTree Suites, will be located in a beautiful 52-storey building that stands among financial and diplomatic quarters of West Bay. The hotel will feature numerous accommodations with one, two or three bedrooms.
These new hotels join the list of three hotels in the Gulf region that will be opened by Hilton within a couple of years. Qatar, which is very rich in gas, becomes more popular destination with the increasing number of visitors, especially business travellers. Currently Hilton runs 56 hotels in 19 countries of Africa and the Middle East. The total number of rooms in these hotels exceeds 16,500.
