Puma Hotels has recently purchased 20 hotels in the UK from Barcelo Group, and the company announces the launch of the new brand called Puma Hotels Collection.
The hotelier got the ownership rights after Barcelo Group, which is headquartered in Palma de Majorca, had paid US$32 million penalty fee in order to terminate leases on its 4-star hotel portfolio. All hotels were managed by Barcelo’s Paramount Hotels brand. Now these properties and one more hotel will be turned into new Collection hotels. The brand new chain has more than 2,800 guestrooms and 21 properties across the UK. Among the hotels added to the new brand are such popular properties as Lygon Arms hotel in Gloucestershire and Imperial hotel in Torquay.
The company has explained the main aim of launching the Collection brand as their desire to improve the level of service offered, provide visitors with new facilities, and improve hotels in general. All hotels will be steadily renovated and development is told to be continuous. Starting from this month guests of these hotels will already be able to feel first improvements as all Collection hotels are now equipped with free Wi-Fi access.
