Wyndham Hotel Group has announced it has signed an agreement with Indian developer Unique Mercantile India Private Ltd. concerning the building on a chain of hotels in India. Not all locations are set up yet as both organizations plan to open as many as 35 hotels with the total number of rooms exceeding 3,000 until 2017. Now Wyndham’s executive team travels on the territory of the country searching for new deals.
The first hotel opened under this collaboration is Ramada hotel in Udaipur. The resort will have 120 guestrooms in total. First 72 guestrooms will start operating already this April, while extra 48 guestrooms will be added by the end of 2014.
The collaboration with Unique Mercantile is not the first deal of Wyndham with local developers. The famous hotelier already has 14 hotels working in India, and other 15 hotels in the pipeline. The main aim of the company is to increase its portfolio in Asia Pacific to 466 hotels (65,453 guestrooms in total).
