Edwardian Group has increased the number of properties in its portfolio by purchasing out of administration Radisson Edwardian Free Trade Hall hotel in Manchester. The sum of the deal is not disclosed. The hotel was put into administration this August after the collapse of its owner, Free Trade Hall Hotel Limited. Edwardian Group was the operating organization for this property. The hotelier has operated Radisson Edwardian Hotel in Manchester since 2004 through a long-term contract.
The new owner plans to continue running the hotel on an unchanged basis. All jobs and quality of service will be maintained.
The 263-guestroom Radisson Edwardian is a five-star hotel, which has got a sufficient popularity in one of the main United Kingdom cities. According to Matt Dunham, Grant Thornton UK LLP joint administrative receiver, finding such hotel as Radisson Edwardian in Manchester for sale is not easy. They got several enquiries concerning this property, but in the end agreed to sell the hotel to Edwardian.
Edwardian Group also made a statement concerning the purchase. The company is happy to get the full control over this property as now they can be sure the hotel’s future is safe and they can continue operating it maintaining high quality of this popular destination. The company also has some very ambitious plans concerning the hotel, but they will be unveiled within next months.
