Hyatt Opens a Hotel in China

Hyatt Hotels Corp. has made a report concerning the signing of an agreement, according to which the company will open two Hyatt Places hotels and one Hyatt House hotel in Shanghai. The famous hotelier will also open 2 hotels in Mongolia. These openings increase the total number of hotels in pipeline in China up to 32.

The two hotels in Shanghai will be first accommodations under the Hyatt House and Hyatt Place brands. These new properties will be located in Jiading New Town and Xinjiangwan. Hyatt will open 150-key Hyatt Place hotel in Shanghai Xinjiangwan, 210-key Hyatt Place hotel in Shanghai Jiading, and 77-key Hyatt House hotel in Shanghai Jiading. Both Jiading hotels are expected to open in the middle of 2014. They will be parts of a mixed use development that also includes retail and business space. A hotel in Xinjiangwan is scheduled for opening in the beginning of 2015. The accommodation is located in Yangpu District.

Other hotels in pipeline in China include 5 Hyatt Regency branded hotels and 3 Grand Hyatt hotels. Hyatt Regency hotels will be opened mainly in Shanghai (in Jiading, Chongming, Wujiaochang, Hongqiao). One hotel will operate in Zhenjiang. Three Grand Hyatt hotels will be opened on the Shenzhou Peninsula, and in Lijiang and Hefei.

The abovementioned hotels in Mongolia will be opened in its largest city and capital. In this country Hyatt will open a 259-guestroom Hyatt Regency hotel in Ulaanbaatar is scheduled for opening in 2014. The 131-key Hyatt Regency Turtle Rock hotel may start operating in 2015.
