According to the new study conducted by KPMG, the results of hotels in France during first 6 months of 2011 improved comparing to the previous year.
When compared with 2010, the occupancy increased by 3.6% and reached 66.4%. ADR level has also improved by 11.7% for 4-star accommodations, by 6.1% for 3-star hotels and by 5.4% for 2-star hotels, featuring a good achievement for accommodations in this country. Naturally, improved occupancy has also affected RevPAR (revenue per available apartment) by almost 19%. Hotels in Paris and French Riviera are the leaders according to the information of KPMG.
As Stephane Botz, the chief of tourist division of KPMG, mentions, the occupancy level is almost as high as during the pre-recession period. This is definitely a good sign.
