Hilton Will Open a Hotel in Yuxi, China

Hilton has just announced the opening of its first hotel in Yuxi, Yunnan province, China. The hotel will be operating under the Hilton Hotels & Resorts brand. This has become possible due to the agreement with Yunnan Chengjiang Great Eagle Resort Co. Ltd., the local developer. The 350-key resort is scheduled for opening in 2013. The opening will also mark the debut of the famous hotelier in the China’s top tourist destination.

Currently the number of tourists in China grows and this concerns not only abroad tourism, but domestic one as well. Yunnan Province is among most popular destinations for Chinese tourists, so this place requires quality accommodations. Hilton will open a resort on Fuxian Lake that will feature not only stunning views, but also signature service by Hilton.

The new property will be located on the northeast bank of Fuxian Lake. The small hills near the hotel will be turned into golf courses. This lake is widely known in China for its clean water and is even called the Pearl of the Yunnan Plateau. The local government tries to position this place as a lot quality destination that may attract both local and international visitors.
