According the survey organized by Motorola Solutions Inc. over a half of hoteliers agree mobile technologies are an important factor in making clients more satisfied with their stay.
In situation when hoteliers have to fight for customers in order to stay profitable each factor becomes important. Information technologies are in full bloom these days and so 58% of respondents mention they help them to equip workforces and enhance the service offered.
91% of hoteliers participating in the survey have mentioned they understand the importance of mobile and wireless technology. 78% consider mobile technologies an advantage that can help them to run business more successfully. 76% of participants agree the main reason for investments into mobile technologies is the satisfaction of customers. That is why mobile technologies in hotels mostly tend to face main needs of visitors like checking e-mail, booking tickets, wireless check-in, and so on.
Over a half of respondents (61%) plan to add new video capabilities like displays in lobbies or video conferences. Companies that have already added wireless internet to their services notice the increase in sales (55% of hoteliers). Approximately the same number of hoteliers tells wireless Internet has improved work of employees as well.
