On June 1 May Fair hotel in London will open a new restaurant named Quince. This dining facility will be headed by the famous chef Silvena Rowe.
Quince restaurant will feature mostly Eastern Mediterranean food that Silvena is famous for. In order to reach incredible level of professionalism in this area, she spent over two decades in research. The menu developed by the chef reflects her love to the culinary of the Ottoman Empire.
The guests of this restaurant will be able to try such exotic dishes as Salmon Shawarma or Ottoman spiced lamb cutlets with tahini. Among the dishes present in the menu is Orange blossom baklava. This dish appeared in 1400s and was the favorite one of the wife of Sultan Suleyman the Magnificent – Roxelane.
The design of this restaurant is developed by Martin Brudnizki. In this work the author tried to combine the rich heritage of the Eastern Mediterranean and the energy of the modern London. The restaurant can serve 90 guests. This facility will feature the open kitchen, so guests can dine at Silvena’s table that can seat 8 people.
The guests of Quince restaurants can also have meals in the exclusive salon that has its own bar and is intended for afternoon tea.
