Starwood Hotels & Resorts has announced the opening of its fourth hotel in Dubai under the Sheraton brand. The company will manage the new property according to the agreement with Abdulsalam Alrafi Group LLC.
The property is scheduled for opening in the beginning of 2014. The hotel in UAE will be a part of the mixed-use development that consists of three towers located in the very center of the commercial region of the city. The opening of this property is a part of a Starwood’s plan of opening 60 hotels with over 20,000 rooms in total under the Sheraton brand within next three years.
Sheraton Dubai Sheikh Zayed Road Hotel will have 660 rooms. The hotel will also feature 180 fully serviced apartments. The hotel has a truly advantageous location and borders with Dubai International Financial Centre and Dubai World Trade Centre. The visitors of Sheraton Dubai Sheikh Zayed Road Hotel will also have convenient access to Dubai Marina, Dubai Mall and Jumeirah Beach.
Dubai is one of the strategic destinations of Starwood. At the moment this hotelier operates 15 hotels in the region with 3 Sheraton properties among them. The company plans to open all nine brands here until 2015 making the Middle East the only region except for North America that has all Starwood’s hotels.
