Carlson has announced the conclusion of the deal for opening 4 new hotels in China. These are going to be two properties under the Park Plaza brand and two properties under the Radisson Blu brand. They will join the company’s portfolio in this country that currently reaches 25 hotels (only 10 of them operate though as the rest is yet under development).
The company’s representatives state they are very pleased with the deal as Carlson sees huge potential in Chinese hotel market. Global aims of the hotelier are also grandiose. According to Ambition 2015 plan, the hotelier has an aim of having over 1,500 properties around the world until 2015.
The new properties by Carlson in China are:
- Radisson Blu Resort in Baoting, which will become the third hotel in Hainan province by Carlson. The hotelier will act as a managing company as the owner of the building is Beijing Chun Guang Investment Group. The accommodation will greet its first guests in the third quarter of 2013.
- Radisson Blu Plaza hotel in Hangzhou will be located in a popular area of Hangzhou city – Xiaoshan. The hotel will have 230 rooms, a swimming pool, a business center, 10 meeting rooms, a fitness center, a ballroom, and several restaurants and bars. The hotel is scheduled for opening in the beginning of 2015 and the owner of this hotel in Zhejiang Wanxiang Real Estate Co. Ltd.
- Park Plaza hotel in Shenyang will open in spring 2013. Carlson will manage this property according to the agreement with Shenyang New Times Hotels Co. Ltd. The hotels will be located in the business center of Shenyang near the city’s exhibition center and sports stadium. The hotel will offer wide choice of business and leisure facilities.
- Park Plaza Ordos will be a part of Yixing International Commercial and Trade City. The hotel will be located in a popular Dongshen district and is scheduled to open in spring 2014.
