Shangri-La Creates the New Upscale Hotel Brand in Shanghai

Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, a famous Asian hotelier, has announced the launching of the new hotel brand Kerry Hotels. This will be the 5-star brand and the first property under it will become the 574-key Kerry Hotel in Pudong, Shanghai.

The main concept of Kerry hotel in Shanghai lays in the desire to create an upscale facility with vibrant and relaxed atmosphere. Kerry Hotels will be primarily targeted on business travellers who do not want to compromise quality. The creators of the band have tried to combine entertainment and relaxation, and link them with business.

The brand new Kerry Hotel Pudong will have 31 stores and feature guestrooms from 42 and up to 168 sq. meters. All rooms will be decorated in contemporary style and will have 40-inch LCD TV sets, high-speed Internet and sliding partitions. All guests can use the services of 24-hour butler and concierge. Seven floors of the hotel are devoted to relaxation and entertainment facilities. Dining options in Kelly Hotel Pudong will include 3 restaurants connected through F&B system.

The restaurants are named the Meet, the Cook, and the Brew. The Meet will be a steakhouse and grill restaurant that is scheduled for opening this April. The restaurant will feature best selection of beef and steaks in Shanghai. In the restaurant will be a butcher who helps guests to select best cuts of meat. The Cook is the main restaurant in the hotel and so it features 11 live show kitchens and can serve 365 people. The restaurant will mostly serve Asian cuisine, from Chinese wok to Japanese yakitori and sushi. Finally, the Brew is a relaxation bar that offers signature beers.

Among other facilities present in the hotel are a large Kelly Sports complex that occupies 3 floors and 6,000 sq. meters, a 25-m long swimming pool, areas for playing basketball and tennis, a SPA center, children playgrounds and much more. The hotel will greet its first guests already this April.
