IGH, the owner of a famous international hotel brand Holiday Inn, has disclosed plans to open its biggest hotel in Singapore. For this purpose the company has concluded an agreement with RB Capital Hotels Pte. – a hotel building and developing company located in this Asian country.
Holiday Inn hotel in Singapore is scheduled for opening in 2013. This property will have from 460 to 500 rooms and will be primarily targeted to mid-budget business and leisure travelers.
The hotel is located in the central part in of this island country, in Central Business District not far from The Singapore River. The hotel will be built on the land plot won in auction organized by the Singapore Urban Redevelopment Authority. RB Capital Hotels won with the highest bid of S$101 million (US $79 million).

This property is going to be the second Holiday Inn hotel in Singapore’s high-value region. Several months ago IGH signed the contract concerning the opening of its hotel Holiday Inn Express. The company plans to open new hotels in all key markets of Asia including India, Singapore and Thailand. This strategy will only increase Holiday Inn’s domination in the category of mid-value hotels. Currently over 2,100 Holiday Inn hotels are functioning all over the world and over 500 will be opened in several years.
